Situated in leafy Grayshott surrounded by woodland, our client wanted a contemporary look in their large kitchen and utility room. The recently released ‘Outline’ handleless doors suited their vision perfectly, with cut out handles and on trend colour options.
We opted for a Cashmere, Bay Green and Dry Rose colour combination with a darker Cocobolo cabinetry with a statement natural Quartzite worktop in the kitchen.
The large kitchen features a shelved storage larder, double oven and integrated fridge freezer in the bay green cabinetry. Cashmere perimeter cabinetry follow the U-shaped kitchen around, featuring an integrated dishwasher and ample base storage. The undermounted Shaws ceramic sink, frames a matt black Quooker Fusion boiling tap, tying in with the rooms recently fitted black aluminium window frames.
Centre of the kitchen area sits the pale pink/dry rose island with a central Bora vented induction hob, creating a social hub with space for five stools. Wanting to continue with a contemporary feel, we introduced slatted oak veneer for under the seating area, these complimented the inner handle washed oak cut-outs perfectly.
Our client wanted a statement worktop, so we took a daytrip to Cullifords in Kingston where we were shown their vast array of unique marbles and granites. After much deliberation we came across a natural Quartzite Terra Bianca Worktop, that featured the colours of the cabinetry and tied in perfectly. Our client loved it so much that she rethought her previously decided wall tiles opting for a Terra Bianca splashback too!
Previously located next to the kitchen was a small utility and storage room. This was opened up to create a large utility room with open feature shelving. One of the challenges was to box in the larger existing boiler, which was cleverly achieved by using a bespoke tall larder.
Cashmere base cabinets border the room, allowing the pink Smeg fridge to stand out! The back of the room features a solid oak worktop with matching oak wall shelving and sink area features the natural Quartzite Terra Bianca Worktop with matching upstand.
Both kitchen and utility tie in beautifully with one another, creating an open, contemporary space, perfect for entertaining and family life. It was a total joy to design such a unique and fun kitchen and utility.
